Publication Ethics

DIMASINTEGRA upholds the highest standards of publication ethics and is committed to maintaining integrity, transparency, and accountability in all stages of the publishing process. The journal adheres to internationally recognized ethical principles in scholarly publishing and expects all parties involved—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—to comply with these standards to ensure the credibility and trustworthiness of published work.

Ethical Responsibilities of Authors

Authors submitting manuscripts to DIMASINTEGRA are required to ensure that their work is original, accurate, and free from plagiarism, including self-plagiarism. All sources of information, data, and ideas drawn from other works must be appropriately cited. Manuscripts should not be under consideration by another journal or previously published in substantially similar form. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their community engagement activities were conducted ethically, including obtaining informed consent where applicable and respecting community autonomy, cultural values, and local knowledge systems. Any potential conflicts of interest, financial or otherwise, that could influence the research or its interpretation must be clearly disclosed. Authors are also expected to present data honestly, without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate manipulation, and to retain research data for possible verification.

Ethical Responsibilities of Editors

Editors of DIMASINTEGRA are responsible for making publication decisions based solely on the academic merit, originality, relevance, and clarity of the submitted manuscripts, without discrimination or bias. Editorial decisions are guided by the journal’s aims and scope and informed by reviewers’ evaluations. Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and ensure that all submissions undergo a fair and transparent peer review process. In cases of suspected ethical misconduct—such as plagiarism, duplicate publication, or unethical community practices—editors will conduct appropriate investigations and take necessary actions in accordance with established ethical guidelines. Editors are also responsible for managing conflicts of interest and recusing themselves from handling manuscripts where such conflicts exist.

Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers play a critical role in maintaining the scholarly quality of DIMASINTEGRA. They are expected to conduct reviews objectively, constructively, and within the agreed timeframe. Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents and must not use any information obtained through the peer review process for personal advantage. Reviews should be based on scholarly merit, methodological rigor, ethical engagement, and contribution to the field, without personal criticism of the authors. Reviewers are required to disclose any conflicts of interest that could compromise their impartiality and to decline review assignments where such conflicts arise.

Ethical Responsibilities of the Publisher

The publisher of DIMASINTEGRA is committed to supporting ethical publishing practices and ensuring that commercial or institutional interests do not compromise editorial independence. The publisher works collaboratively with the editorial team to uphold ethical standards, manage allegations of misconduct, and implement corrective actions such as retractions or corrections when necessary. The publisher also ensures long-term access to published content and the preservation of the scholarly record.

Handling of Ethical Misconduct

DIMASINTEGRA takes allegations of ethical misconduct seriously. Cases involving plagiarism, data manipulation, duplicate submission, authorship disputes, or unethical community engagement practices will be investigated thoroughly. When misconduct is confirmed, the journal may take actions including manuscript rejection, retraction of published articles, notification of authors’ institutions, or other measures deemed appropriate to maintain academic integrity. Corrections, clarifications, or retractions will be issued transparently to preserve the accuracy of the scholarly record.

Commitment to Ethical Community Engagement

Given its focus on Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat, DIMASINTEGRA places particular emphasis on the ethics of community engagement. Published works are expected to reflect principles of respect, reciprocity, inclusivity, and sustainability, ensuring that communities are not merely objects of intervention but active partners in knowledge co-creation. Ethical sensitivity to social, cultural, and contextual dimensions is regarded as a fundamental criterion of scholarly quality.

Through this comprehensive ethical framework, DIMASINTEGRA seeks to foster responsible scholarship and reinforce the role of higher education institutions as ethically grounded contributors to sustainable community development.
