Pembinaan Pemuda Karang Taruna dalam Penyelenggaraan Turnamen Bola Voli di Dusun Cijoho: Pendekatan Manajerial dan Teknis untuk Penguatan Kapasitas Organisasi Pemuda

This community service activity aimed to strengthen the capacity of Karang Taruna youth in Dusun Cijoho to organize volleyball tournaments through structured managerial and technical guidance. The main challenges identified included limited understanding of event management, coordination, and tournament administration among the youth members. Implementation methods involved field observation, delivery of leadership and sports event management materials, hands-on workshops for technical meeting preparation, division of committee roles, and financial management, followed by monitoring and evaluation. A total of 30 Karang Taruna members actively participated throughout the program. Results indicate significant improvements in participants’ understanding of organizational structure, committee responsibilities, and tournament procedures, as evidenced by pre-test and post-test evaluations. The intervention also positively impacted professional attitudes, including discipline, teamwork, and initiative in executing committee duties. Supporting factors included community leaders’ engagement, while technical constraints at the venue posed challenges. The program provides recommendations for sustainable development, such as establishing a village volleyball academy and organizing annual tournaments, which are expected to enhance youth organizational capacity and local sports potential.
